LastMaker 2011 - What's New

• Graphical User Interface – A major revamp of the user interface (GUI) has been implemented to make the program easier to learn and use.
  
  
• Icons - have been increased in size to 36 x 36 pixels.
  
  
• Menus and Activities - In this release a series of activities have been defined that flow logically from import to export that individually group functions making it much easier to find a particular function or tool.
  
  
• Last Format – LastMaker 2011 establishes the barefoot or unified last format as default. The last upper and bottom are combined as a single surface. The older .v3e format is retained but the default file storage is based on the Delcam CRISPIN .shoe file format.
  
  
• Quick Toe Section - This is a new function that can quickly create section at a specific distance from the toe. It starts with a default value of 25mm which can easily be changed.
  
  
• Heel Swell - A new function that provides the means to adjust the heel swell is added to the advanced adjustments dialog.
  
  
• Advanced Adjustments - This dialog has been reorganised in to 4 tabs containing adjustments grouped to specific areas of the last. It has incorporated all the adjustments of previous versions and 'pulled in' some adjustments that were still separate menu picks in older versions.
  
  
• Import wizards - The imports of last data are now handled using interactive 'wizards' to simplify the process. The import wizard dialogs are also 'non-modal' which means that you can freely adjust the workspace view during the procedure.
  
  
• Sections - The modification of sections is more intuitive, making use of 'handles' that clearly indicate or imply how a section is modified.
